Kawasaki 2027: Everything you need to know

Kawasaki has officially revealed the all-new Kawasaki KX327X, marking the company’s return to the large-displacement two-stroke off-road segment with its first newly developed 300-class two-stroke in more than two decades.

The model joins the motocross-focused KX327 and is aimed at cross-country, enduro, and woods riders.

The biggest headline is the bike’s 327cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected two-stroke engine. Unlike traditional carbureted two-strokes, the KX327X uses direct fuel injection designed to maintain consistent fueling across varying temperatures and elevations while improving throttle response and starting performance.

Kawasaki has retained premix lubrication rather than adopting an oil-injection system.

Built around an aluminum perimeter frame derived from the KX450 platform, the KX327X combines lightweight construction with off-road-focused durability. The machine weighs a claimed 233.7 pounds and features fully adjustable KYB suspension components, including a 48mm inverted fork and linkage-equipped rear shock.

For technical terrain, Kawasaki has equipped the KX327X with a 6-speed transmission, including a lower first gear intended for slow-speed trail riding and hard enduro conditions. A hydraulic clutch and revised exhaust-valve system are designed to deliver a broad, manageable powerband with strong low-end torque.

Technology also receives a significant upgrade. Riders can switch between two ECU maps using a handlebar-mounted selector, while smartphone connectivity is provided through Rideology The App KX2, allowing access to ride logs, maintenance information, and engine settings.

The KX327X arrives trail-ready from the factory with handguards, a skid plate, linkage protection, rear brake-disc protection, a side stand, and an 18-inch rear wheel wrapped in Dunlop Geomax AT82 tires. Fuel capacity is increased to 2.2 gallons through a translucent tank that allows riders to visually check fuel level.

Kawasaki says the 2027 KX327X will reach dealerships in late 2026 with a U.S. MSRP of $9,699, positioning it competitively against other premium electric-start 300-class off-road two-strokes.
