Karachi to host Gaza Solidarity March today under Jamaat-e-Islami

Under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami, a Gaza Solidarity March will be held in Karachi today, as reported by national media.

According to a report, the Gaza Solidarity March will begin today at 4 PM from Shahrah-e-Faisal to protest Israeli terrorism and express solidarity with the people of Palestine. Participants from all districts of Karachi will arrive at Shahrah-e-Faisal in the form of caravans.

Before the Gaza Solidarity March, a rally will be taken out from Baloch Colony Bridge to the central venue on Shahrah-e-Faisal, led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munem Zafar Khan. For the Gaza Solidarity March, one track on Shahrah-e-Faisal has been allocated for women and the other for men.

Head of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, will deliver the keynote address at the Gaza Solidarity March. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munem Zafar Khan, has appealed to the people of Karachi to participate wholeheartedly in the Gaza Solidarity March.

Traffic Plan Issued

Karachi Traffic Police has issued a traffic plan for the Gaza Million March and requested citizens to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

According to the Traffic Police, people heading to the airport from FTC should take Korangi Road or pass through Sindhi Muslim to Allah Wali Chowk and then use University Road. Those traveling from the airport to Saddar should use Drigh Road and then Rashid Minhas Road. Citizens coming from Karsaz should take the Expressway via Baloch Colony Bridge.

The Traffic Police has appealed for citizens’ cooperation to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic flow during the march.
