KARACHI: Schoolchildren in the metropolis participated in a “Palestine unity march” to express their disapproval of the US and European governments for their support of the Palestinian genocide and to denounce the Israeli bombardment in Gaza.
Children marched along Shahrae Qaideen Road to demonstrate their support for Palestine in opposition to the crimes committed in Gaza by the Jewish state. The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter was in charge of organizing the march.
The US and its European allies have provided significant military and political assistance to Israel’s airstrikes of Gaza, which have now claimed the lives of nearly 10,000 people, half of them children.
The protesting children shouted chants against the occupation Jewish army and Israel for killing thousands in Gaza, with banners, placards and artworks in hands to highlight Zionist nation’s cruelties.
Children also donated money to help the Gazan people with their basic needs, such as food and medical care. In order to draw attention to the suffering of Palestinians in the ongoing conflict, numerous students also delivered remarks and performed poems.
“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” the students chants rattled the surroundings as JI Karachi Chief, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman again shamed the Muslim rulers for their ‘cowardice’, shying from setting face against the Jewish state.
He claimed that the Muslim world, with its vast arsenals of weapons and armies, lacked the bravery to support the Palestinians, who are the underdogs in Israel’s onslaught on Gaza. He called on the “spineless” leaders of the Muslim world to effectively speak up.
