Karachi police on Monday busted an interprovincial drug smuggling gang.
As per details, on the directives of SSP of Karachi’s District Kemari Fida Hussain Janwri, the district police is continuing to carry out vigorous operations against drug dealers.
Last night, SHO Saeedabad Sub-Inspector Shakir Hussain along with the staff conducted a successful operation at Yusuf Goth Bus Terminal. Three suspects involved in drug smuggling were arrested and drugs worth lakhs of rupees were recovered concealed in the passenger bus coming from Quetta, Balochistan.
Among the arrested, accused are the bus driver Awal Jan son of Abu Bakr, Abdul Rauf son of Muhammad Bakhsh and Fida Ahmed while two accused named Nik Muhammad and Muhammad Mumtaz escaped from the spot.
In the successful operation, 40 kg of opium smuggled from Quetta was recovered from the bus. Case No. 375/22 was registered against the arrested and absconding accused under section 6/9C. Further investigation was underway.
