KARACHI: The district police today (Thursday), in two separate operations, have claimed to arrest three accused involved in robberies and drug trafficking.
According to details, Kalri police station conducted two operations after receiving a tip-off. During the first operation the accused, identified as Asif, was arrested from Lyari. The police also recovered looted valuables including cash from his possession.
In another separate operation, a raid was carried out near Main Maripur Road during which drug dealers Asif and Bilal were arrested. The police have recovered a total of 410 grams of cannabis and illegal weapons from the possession of the arrested accused.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under several provisions of the Criminal Act and Narcotics Act. The police further informed that the accused were arrested before but were released on bail.
Earlier on November 11, Karachi police arrested a man who was defrauding people millions of rupees through a business scam. Baghdadi investigation police arrested the accused Noman alias Double Shah from the Lyari area of Karachi.
