A woman in Karachi fatally shot her husband after domestic dispute.
The victim, 40-year-old Abdul Ghaffar, was killed by his wife, Samina, inside their home in Feroz Colony, Nazimabad 2. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal procedures.
SHO Abid Shah from the Rizviya Society Police Station confirmed that initial investigations revealed Abdul Ghaffar, reportedly a drug addict, frequently argued with and physically abused his wife. During a heated argument on Monday, Samina shot him and fled. Authorities are now searching for Samina, a mother of three daughters, who allegedly used her brother’s 9mm pistol, belonging to a security guard.
Earlier in April, another woman in Karachi shot her second husband over alleged mistreatment and prohibiting her from meeting her minor son from a previous marriage.
The shooting occurred near Khajji Ground in Golimar within the Rizvia police jurisdiction. Police and rescue workers identified the deceased as 45-year-old Ziaullah, son of Ataullah, and a resident of New Karachi. Police arrested the suspect, Maham, and seized the weapon used.
Maham contracted the second marriage after divorce from her husband with whom she had a three-year-old son. The suspect reportedly told police during the initial interrogation that Ziaullah used to abuse her and was reluctant to allow her to meet her son.
