The federal government has proposed a substantial allocation of funds for key development projects in Karachi in the upcoming budget for 2025-2026.
According to the budget documents, 8 billion 200 million rupees have been allocated for the Karachi Bulk Water Supply Project to provide clean drinking water to the city’s residents.
Additionally, 9 billion 400 million rupees have been earmarked for the K-4 project, which has been facing delays.
The government has also proposed 2 billion 500 million rupees for the construction and repair of roads in industrial areas to improve traffic flow and boost commercial activities.
The federal government believes that the completion of these projects will provide relief to citizens and strengthen the economy.
