A video of a police officer taking a bottle of juice for free in Ramadan went viral on social media.
Earlier, a mobile phone video of a Sharah Noor Jahan police station official taking melons for free from a fruit vendor went viral on social media, but the assistant police officer of 15 was suspended for taking a bottle of syrup for free.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, SSP Helper 15 Imran Shaukat has taken notice of the video going viral on social media in which a sub-inspector of police has been shown taking a bottle of juice from a mart in the limits of Station Site B without paying.
Taking strict cognizance of the incident, SSP Sahayak 15 immediately suspended Sub-Inspector Javed and issued instructions to the Department of Inquiry.
In the viral video on social media, the sub-inspector dressed in police uniform was wearing a mask on his face.
He comes to the counter of the mart and asks for a bottle of juice, when the shopkeeper asks for money, he takes off his mask and looks at him, and later he is seen leaving the mart with a bottle of juice given in the shopper.
