Karachi Biennale is being held from October 31st to November 11th at nine locations in the port city with the message of “develop creativity within yourself by utilizing the combination of art and technology.”
In this excellent exhibition, artists and craftsmen from thirteen countries will present their creative work of art and technology to guide the youths to innovate their skills through the combination of art and technology.
The exhibition will have 28 projects, including virtual reality, artificial intelligence, sensors and light creative computing. MM News arranged a meeting with the trustees of the exhibition to bring more and more information about this unique exhibition for its viewers.
The trustees said “this time the theme of this exhibition is art and technology, art is changing all over the world, the magic of technology now play a vital role in the art, and the artist is giving his art a touch of technology to present it to the world in a smart way.
The trustees of the Biennale said that the purpose of this exhibition is to make the youth of Pakistan aware of the use of technology in art according to their abilities and in their fields of interest and to tell them how we can use technology to enhance our abilities in the art.
Artists from thirteen countries and from different cities of Pakistan including Islamabad and Lahore are participating in the biennale. In the exhibition every artist will create an art in front of the people.
The good thing about the Biennale is that its organizers are dedicated to teach skills and providing employment opportunities to the Pakistani youths, that’s why the Biennale allows entry to everyone without any charges or fee. Apart from this, this exhibition is being organized at nine locations in Karachi to benefit as many people as possible.
The trustees of the Biennale said that the rate of technology usage among the youths of Pakistan is very high, but there is a need to guide them towards innovative ideas to take full advantage of the technology.
The biennale will continue from 10.30 am to 5 pm. Organizers said that the Biennale activities will continue on the weekend to benefit the maximum number of people.
Organizers said that the Biennale is all about art being in public, that’s why we have not charged any fee for this exhibition. Neither there will be any buying and selling activities. Artists will present their art and the youth will try to learn by watching them.
They said that the third Biennale has a special focus on the youths, various programs have been organized to enhance the youths’ learning and skills by combining art and technology.
