Despite a minor setback, West and Ty eventually took center stage after overcoming technical difficulties with West’s phone connection to the audio system. Home viewers witnessed the real-time struggles as a YouTube stream experienced glitches and restarts leading up to the broadcast. For those attending in person, ticket prices were set at $200 for general admission, $600 for VIP, and $10,000 for a table.

Devoted fans who persevered through the hiccups were treated to approximately 10 songs from the highly anticipated project, slated for release this Friday. To enhance the experience, the duo invited guest stars featured on the album to join them on stage, with notable appearances by Chris Brown, Offset, Kodak Black, Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, and West’s daughter North. Unfortunately, Playboi Carti enthusiasts were left disappointed, as he was unable to make it in time due to a delayed plane.
The event provided an intensified glimpse into the album through sharper previews of low-quality and unfinished snippets that have recently surfaced. Followers of West may recognize the opening track, “Everybody,” previewed on social media the previous week. The track cleverly incorporates an interpolation of the Backstreet Boys’ 1997 hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” with a recreated chorus by Charlie Wilson, who collaborates with West, Ty, and Lil Baby on the song.
West’s daughter, North, showcased her budding rap skills on “Slide,” delivering lines alongside her father and Ty over a James Blake sample. Her lyrical contribution included lines like “It’s gonna get messy, just bless me, bless me / It’s your bestie, miss miss Westie.” North wasn’t the only one of West’s children to make an appearance, as Kim Kardashian joined their kids on stage and cleared the stage before the performance began.
