It was last year when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor Jonathan Majors faced domestic violence charges which caused him to part ways from MCU. Now the actor has been accused again by another woman of domestic violence.
Several women have come forward with additional accusations against actor Jonathan Majors, who was found guilty in December of assaulting and harassing a girlfriend. The New York Times is reporting the accounts of former girlfriends, colleagues, and on-set personnel regarding Majors, who has maintained his innocence and said last month in a televised interview that had “never struck a woman.”
That is contradicted by several accounts in the Times story. As per the media reports, a former girlfriend, Emma Duncan, accused Majors of emotionally and physically abusing her, including choking her, throwing her around, and bruising her. Another, Maura Hooper, also said that he had emotionally abused her.
Both Duncan and Hooper are actresses who dated Majors before he became famous. He was characterized by the Times report as a “controlling, threatening figure who isolated them from friends and career pursuits.”
“You lose your sense of worth,” Duncan said. In interviews with former colleagues, the Times reported that Majors had a history of volatility on the set of the HBO series Lovecraft Country including confrontations with female co-workers that led them to complain to the network.
The Times article was based on interviews with 20 people and on statements submitted to the prosecution in the December case. In that court case, Majors was found guilty of harassment and misdemeanor assault of Grace Jabbari, a former girlfriend. He is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
With the first case filed against him last year, Majors has since lost that role and other career supports, including his management and publicity firms.
