What could be termed a big development in investigation in the cases of vandalism and arson of Jinnah House, Lahore on May 9, 2023, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday accepted the request of a commanding officer for the handover of 16 miscreants to him for their possible trial under the Army Act, 1952.
The court ordered the superintendent Camp Jail to hand over 16 miscreants, including PTI’s ex-MPA Mian Akram Usman, to the officer.
In its order, the court said that the suspects were found guilty under sections 3, 7 and 9 of the Official Secret Act.
The prosecution did not object to the officer’s request either, said the court.
It should be noted that senior PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid and Khadija Shah are also among the accused arrested in Jinnah House attack case.
