“Thank you all for your kind words,” he wrote on Instagram. “Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.” He was in critical but stable condition after his accident on New Year’s Day. He suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries in the accident. It happened during a blizzard that claimed the lives of dozens of individuals throughout the US.

The 51-year-old who plays Hawkeye in the Marvel Avengers series of films has been nominated for two Oscars during his career. Renner received nominations for his roles in The Hurt Locker (2008) and The Town (2010).
