Recalling an earlier visit to Kuala Lumpur in August, Asakura shared that she chose to wear a hijab as she wanted to visit mosques and engage with the local Muslim community. “They were incredibly kind to me. They welcomed me with open arms,” she said, describing the warmth and hospitality she received.
Addressing concerns about her past career, Asakura clarified that the videos circulating online were filmed long ago and that she no longer has any control over them. Despite criticism from some quarters, she has received overwhelming support from the Muslim community. Many have gifted her items such as dates, Islamic books, and a prayer rug from Makkah.
