Israel deported renowned environmental activist Greta Thunberg, who was attempting to deliver aid to Gaza, following the interception of a Gaza-bound aid boat, international media reported on Tuesday.
According to foreign media, the Israeli military took Greta Thunberg and 12 others to Tel Aviv Airport for deportation. Greta Thunberg and three other activists voluntarily decided to leave Israel, while the other eight members chose to challenge the deportation order.
In this regard, the Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that Greta Thunberg left the country on a flight to Sweden via France. It should be noted that the boat Marianne, carrying aid for Gaza’s victims, was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters two days ago, and those on board were detained.
The Marianne had 12 people aboard, including activists from France, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Spain, and the Netherlands. Regarding this, the organizers of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition stated that the aid on the Marianne included rice and baby formula milk.
