ISLAMABAD: The federal police today (Tuesday) has apprehended a four-member gang involved in abducting from the federal capital, Islamabad.
As per details, armed men abducted three persons including a personal employee of businessman Rehmat Niaz from Main Double Road G10 area of Ramna police station.
In this regard, businessman Rehmat Niaz filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the kidnappers. According to the plaintiff, Iqbal alias Bala Gujjar, a resident of Mansehra, committed fraud of millions in property transactions and seized his private house in Sector G-15 and now he wants to kill him.
“Two months ago, he kidnapped me from the G-11 center and kept me in custody for eight to nine hours and demanded a ransom of Rs. 50 million,” the plaintiff added. However, he said that he managed to escape from his custody. “Later, the accused abducted my two friends and one of my employees.”
The kidnappers reached the house of businessman Rehmat Niaz with the three abductees. Meanwhile, police raided the plaintiff’s house and arrested the four accused.
The police have registered a case against four accused under kidnapping charges. The plaintiff has appealed to the IG Islamabad to take stern action against the suspects.
