It’s that time of year again when everyone is soft-launching their romances amid soft chilly air announcing the winter, eh?
Trevor Noah, the departing host of “The Daily Show,” made news on Thursday by announcing the end of his seven-year run on the Comedy Central program. But not long before that, he fueled romance rumors by allegedly dating music diva Dua Lipa.
The South African comedian, 38, and the London-born pop artist, 27, were spotted eating quietly together on Wednesday night at Miss Lily’s in New York City’s East Village, according to the Daily Mail, which published several photos of their rendezvous.
Despite the fact that the two are still in the “very early” phases of getting to know one another, rumor has it, Lipa is “smitten” on what was “clearly a date.”
According to a different report, Lipa and Noah are not a legal couple.
They quietly sat aside from everyone else at the restaurant, a source told the tabloid. They sat closely together during the meal, making it obvious that they liked each other.
After the meal, according to reports, Noah and Lipa walked together before “stopping for extended embraces,” a kiss, and hugs.
The purported relationship begins shortly after each of them ended their prior high-profile unions. The “Cold Heart” singer split from her longtime boyfriend, model Anwar Hadid, the brother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid. The “Born a Crime” author reportedly ended things with actor-girlfriend Minka Kelly last May.
The Daily Mail believed that they met at the Grammys, which Noah hosted in Las Vegas last April and where the English singer appeared alongside rapper Megan Thee Stallion. It is unclear when their romance began.
Noah told his studio audience and viewers Thursday that he would step away from “The Daily Show” seven years after taking over the post from comedian Jon Stewart.
