TEHRAN: Iran has shown interest to initiate more projects on electricity in Pakistan.
This understanding reached in a meeting during the Energy ministers meeting of Pakistan Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan and Ali Akbar Mehrabian of Iran in Tehran.
During the meeting, the mutual areas of interest were discussed.
The Energy Minister of Iran appreciated the authorities of Pakistan on the construction of transmission line for the import of electricity from Iran to Gwadar on great pace.
He expressed his interest to initiate more projects on electricity with Pakistan.

On Friday, Pakistan warmly welcomed the normalization of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The normalization of relations between the two countries was facilitated by China.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson in a statement here said, “Pakistan firmly believes that this important diplomatic breakthrough will contribute to peace and stability in the region and beyond.”
“We commend the role played by China’s visionary leadership in coordinating this historic agreement which reflects the power of constructive engagement and meaningful dialogue. We laud sagacious leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran for this very positive development.”
