MELBOURNE: The international cricket that was suspended due to the global coronavirus has been restored after 117 days.
International cricket activities are being revived with the Test match between England and West Indies. The first Test between England and the West Indies will be played in Southampton today.
The Test series is a part of the ICC World Test Championship. In the absence of England captain Joe Root, all-rounder Ben Stokes will lead the team.
Jason Holder will lead the West Indies team. Three Test matches will be played between the two teams. In today’s match, both teams will wear badges in support of black people on the collar of their shirts in solidarity with black people.
