The Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project suffered damage due to Indian shelling, and a video of the incident has surfaced, as reported by national media on Wednesday.
According to security sources, the intake structure located on the Neelum River at the Noseri Dam was targeted at 2 a.m. last night. The intake gates located in the de-sanders unit were damaged by Indian shelling. A hydraulic protection unit of the hydraulic system was also targeted, and an ambulance was damaged in the attack.
Indian forces shelled Nausari Dam, part of Neelum Jhelum Hydropower plant last night and caused some damage. Attacking civilian infrastructure is a war crime. By doing so, after unilateral IWT suspension, it has made its hydro projects seriously vulnerable. pic.twitter.com/cFBTuYcxut

Pakistan believes that targeting sensitive sites such as water reservoirs is a blatant violation of international norms. Important decisions are expected today in the National Security Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
It is worth mentioning that DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated during a media briefing that India has damaged the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project, and targeting a hydropower project is unacceptable and dangerous.
