Famous Indian designer Sabyasachi has been threatened by Indian Minster to remove his obscene Mangalsutra ad within 48-hours after he faces severe backlash.
On Monday, the Indian state Minister has issued an online warning to the Sabyasachi designer for his Manglasutra campaign, which drew a major backlash after posting bold and obscene pictures of a model wearing Mangalsutra in lingerie.
Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra said, “Sabyasachi Mukherjee has withdrawn the objectionable advertisement after my post. If he repeats such a thing, then direct action will be taken. No warning will be given”.

Moreover, Sabyasachi also has issued a statement after withdrawing his campaign saying he was deeply saddened that his campaign has offended the sentiments of people, he said, “In the context of making heritage and culture a dynamic conversation, the Mangalsutra campaign aimed to talk about inclusivity and empowerment.”
Earlier, the famous Indian clothing brand ‘Fab India’ was also slammed online after using the ‘Urdu’ title for its new campaign. This resulted in netizens’ demand of boycotting the brand that, hurts the sentiments by using Urdu instead of Hindi in a Diwali campaign. Meanwhile, the brand later withdrew the ad.
