ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad Court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan till October 13 in cases related to vandalism during the Long March toward Islamabad.
Imran Khan’s attorney, Babar Awan, came before the Sessions Court Islamabad and pleaded with the court to relieve the former prime minister from having to personally appear in court because of his trip to Lahore.
Imran Khan’s request for an exemption from appearing in court was granted, and his bail was extended until October 13.
It should be mentioned that on May 25, Punjab police lodged FIRs against Imran Khan and PTI leaders during their Azadi March when they wanted to march on Islamabad on May 25th.
 A FIR had also been filed at the Kohsar Police Station against Imran Khan.
