Former prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking bail in the May 9 cases.
The founder of PTI has filed the petition through his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar. The bail plea has been filed in Jinnah House and seven other cases related to the May 9 events.
Imran Khan has adopted a stance in the petition that on May 9 he was in the custody of NAB and he is being politically victimized for the past two years.
He has pleaded that the court accept his bail plea in the eight cases and order his release.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has already rejected eight bail pleas submitted by the PTI founder.
Imran Khan faces a total of 12 cases registered against him in connection with the May 9 incidents in Lahore, including for allegedly attacking the government and military buildings following his arrest in a graft case. So far, he has been granted bail in four of these cases.
Khan is currently incarcerated at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi facing different cases, with convictions in few of them.
