PTI-backed leader Iffat Tahira Soomro, who was supposed to contest election against Jahangir Tareen from NA-155 Lodhran, has leveled serious allegations against the billionaire sugar baron.
In a released video, she claimed that she along with her brother was kidnapped 3 days ago.
“They tortured my brother,” she alleged, “and made me record videos to withdraw from the elections against my will.”
She said that they released her today.

It should be noted that Iffat Tahira Soomro had announced on Tuesday that she would withdraw in favor of IPP leader Jehangir Khan Tareen.
She announced this after meeting Jehangir Khan Tareen. Tareen, the head of the IPP, is facing PMLN’s Siddique Baloch and PTI-backed Pir Iqbal Shah for this seat. However, in NA-149, Multan, and Tareen is the joint candidate of the IPP and PMLN.
In a video statement, Iffat said: “I have decided to withdraw from NA-155 in favour of Jahangir Tareen. I have stepped into politics practically against Siddique Baloch. I staged politics against the flawed politics of Siddique Baloch.”
“I would like to request that the masses vote for me instead of Siddique Baloch,” he said.
