KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that Quaid-e-Azam wanted to make Pakistan a peaceful and welfare state. “If we all follow the principles of Quaid-e-Azam, this country will develop,” he said.
On the occasion of the 73rd death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Murad Ali Shah visited Mazar-e-Quaid, laid a garland, and offered prayers.
Talking to the media on the occasion, CM Murad Ali Shah said that if we all follow the principles of the founder, this country will develop. “When Quaid made this country, Kashmir became part of Pakistan. India invaded the occupied Kashmir, we should also remember the Kashmiri brothers,” he added.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that a year ago the federal government had announced the Karachi package. Progress has been made on what is part of the Sindh government’s package, drains have been cleaned, rainwater has not stopped this time as much as it used to.
Murad Ali Shah said that the Orange Line project is also nearing completion, the provincial government will start it with Green Line, work is also starting on Malir Expressway, a government agency has asked to bring 250 buses. KMC is not collecting two taxes, he maintained.

“We want these taxes to be levied on electricity bills. These are not new taxes. We will further reduce these taxes. I have spoken to the federal finance minister and the NEPRA chairman. “I’m going to America for a week and I’ll be back”, he added.
Talking about the treatment of the legendary comedian, the Sindh chief minister said that the Sindh government would not delay the treatment of Umer Sharif.
