Actress Mashal Khan, who is currently essaying the role of Lubna in the much-talked drama ‘Parizaad’, has revealed how bullying affected her and caused an eating disorder.
In a recent interview, the actress shared how she was bullied during the set of ‘Suno Chanda’. According to her, she did not realize because she was being bullied since childhood. Khan made her television debut in 2018 in Suno Chanda, a mega-hit. She reprised her role in Suno Chanda 2 and went on to feature in Khaas, Dikhawa, Dulhan, among others.
“I was being bullied since childhood so I had a thought in my mind that I will be bullied the same way for the rest of my life. After being bullied several times I faced panic attacks,” she shed light on bullying. Khan also talked about Pakistani senior actor Mohammad Ahmed and how he saved her from being bullied and stood up by her side. “He is an angel,” she said.
While talking about how bullying set off her consuming dysfunction that nearly took her life, Mashal Khan said, “I did not eat for 6 to 8 months, literally,” she said. “I used to take just one bite because of fear that this will make me gain weight. I started to get scared of eating food because of the bullying I went through. Seriously, I went to hell and came back,” she added.
