Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) has discovered a huge quantity of oil and gas reservoirs in the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, media reported on Friday.
As per the reports, the Pakistan Oilfields Limited, after 3887 meters of drilling in Makori Well located in Tall Block, discovered a 22.1 million cubic feet gas reservoir per day.
The POL also discovered 2112 barrels of crude oil per day from the well. The POL said that during the next phase, work will start on the connection of pipelines within two months.
POL on Friday informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange through a letter about the latest discovery of oil and gas reservoirs.
POL said that the latest discovery of gas and oil will play a vital role in overcoming the gas and oil shortage in the country.
It should be noted that the Karak district is already producing a significant quantity of oil and gas, while other parts of the province are also full of natural resources.
