The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the only regret he has during his tenure is that he trusted former Army Chief General Retired Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Mehdi Hasan, the journalist of Zetio, had sent Imran Khan to jail through a letter of questions because the journalist had to settle for letters and books due to the lack of meeting facilities in the jail. It is available for users but for MM News readers we are presenting the excerpts of the interview if you want to read the full interview you have to pay on the site of Zetio which is the link.
Imprisoned in Adiala Jail, Imran Khan once again criticized the political and military leadership of Pakistan in an interview with Mehdi Hasan, a journalist of the American organization “Zitio”.
When PTI founder was asked who he considered responsible for his imprisonment, Imran Khan said, “I believe that this sentence was arranged by General Bajwa and I do not consider anyone else responsible for it.” It was said that the former Army Chief General Bajwa organized this plan and implemented it.
The former prime minister said that Qamar Javed Bajwa had created false and fabricated stories and narratives to create chaos at the national and international levels so that he could extend his tenure as the army chief for the second time.
Imran Khan further said that Qamar Javed Bajwa completely failed to understand the harmful effects of his actions on democracy and Pakistan. When he was asked if he still believed that the administration of US President Joe Biden was involved in a coup to remove him from office, this time Imran Khan put all the responsibility on former Army Chief General Bajwa.
Founder PTI said, “General Bajwa single-handedly spread stories about me in countries like America and made it appear as if I was anti-American or not interested in good relations with them.”
He said, “I have continuously fought for the rule of law in Pakistan, if justice was being provided on an equal basis in the society, there would be no need for a person like me in the country’s politics.”
When Imran Khan was asked about spoiling relations with Saudi Arabia as well as Pakistan’s military and military leadership, the PTI founder said that he had maintained good relations with most of the countries even after the overthrow of my government. “The effect of General Bajwa’s poisonous narrative may last for some time but it will not last long,” he said.
Founder PTI said, “The reason for my popularity among people is that they know that I will never lie to them, they know that no amount of money can buy or change me, they know that I will never bend. I will not let them down.”
Imran Khan was asked what is his message to the world, then Imran Khan said that it was not only about Imran Khan, it was an attack on democracy and the right of self-determination of two and a half million people.
He said that a political party was attacked in every possible way and every party in this country considers this election as the worst election in the country’s history.
