Students in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, will receive free laptops under the “Bano Qabil” program launched by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), a right-wing political and religious party in the country.
The laptops will be given to graduates of the “Bano Qabil” program and will be distributed solely on a merit basis. Graduates who perform exceptionally will receive free laptops, and they will be selected by JI without the need to apply.
In the first phase, 10,000 laptops will be distributed to high-performing graduates to support them in securing employment in the global job market. So, if anyone wants to receive a free laptop, they must focus on their performance and pass the Bano Qabil program test with high marks.
It should be noted that thousands of students have completed courses through the program, with JI working to connect these graduates with job opportunities. In a key address, JI chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman called for a unified and improved education system across the country of 242 million, advocating for equality in the educational framework. He urged the youth of Karachi to rise for their rights and reject corrupt leadership.
