ISLAMABAD: During the tenure of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the prices of petroleum products have increased significantly.
According to the report of Hum News, during the first month and a half of the current government, the price of petrol increased by Rs14.19 paise per liter, while the prices of other petroleum products including diesel have also been changed.
During the last month and a half, the price of diesel has increased by more than Rs 3 per litre. When Shahbaz Sharif took oath as the Prime Minister, the price of diesel was Rs287.33 paise while petrol was Rs279.75 paise per liter.
The Shahbaz Sharif government increased the price of petrol by Rs4.53 paise per liter last night, after which the price of 1 liter of petrol has increased to Rs293.94 paise, while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs8.14 paise per litre.
After the federal government increased the prices of petroleum products, the new price of diesel became Rs 290 38 paise per litre. People say that the increase in the prices of petroleum products will increase inflation.
Citizens said that the rulers should realize that people were forced to buy petroleum products under compulsion, and how much the government would increase the prices of petroleum products, they are currently unaware of it.
