The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is renowned for its festive Eidul Fitr celebrations, with this year being no exception. Residents of the UAE are poised to revel in a nine-day Eid holiday, spanning from April 8 onward. If the PMLN goverment too takes up this policy Pakistanis can then also enjoy a 9 day holiday.
The UAE government has officially declared Eid holidays from the 29th day of Ramadan to the third day of Shawwal, corresponding to Monday, April 8, and Friday, April 12, respectively. This strategic arrangement places the five-day Eid holiday between two weekends, granting people nine consecutive days off from work, from Saturday, April 6, to Sunday, April 14.
While UAE residents will enjoy this extended holiday officially, many in Pakistan aspire to extend their five-day Eid holiday to nine days, albeit unofficially. So, how is it possible to have a nine-day holiday in Pakistan?
In Pakistan, the commencement of the annual event is anticipated to be on either April 10 or 11. With the government allowing a three-day holiday for Eidul Fitr, the subsequent two days, April 13 and 14, coincide with the weekend, potentially granting individuals a five-day Eid holiday.
However, if Pakistanis opt to include Monday and Tuesday following their Eid break, they too can relish in a nine-day Eid holiday.
