RAWALPINDI: A man was shot dead outside a private hotel after which a suspect was arrested along with his weapon.
The incident occurred in Ratta Amral near the Attock petrol pump where two motorcyclists opened fire outside a private hotel. As a result, a hotel employee Gulzar was shot dead on the spot.
The motorcyclists attempted to escape but passerbys intervened and managed to apprehend one of the criminals along with his weapon. However, his accomplice managed to flee from the scene of the incident.
Rescue officials were called and the body of the victim Gulzar was shifted to DHQ Hospital. The suspect was arrested by Ratta Amral police station. He has been identified as Kamil while his weapon has been seized.
Police said the suspect and the victim hailed from the same area which has raised doubt that the matter was related to a personal or family dispute.
