STREAM or SKIP?
Definitely SKIP IT and save your time. Unfortunately, even a star-studded cast and its great performances could not save ‘Reptile’. This 2 hours and 14 minutes long movie is sadly overloaded, with a confusing plot.
During the movie, you may find many scenes that seem important for the plot then suddenly it’s not, and plenty of seemingly unimportant scenes that in fact, are crucial to understanding what’s going on.
Who killed Summer?
Detective Tom discovers that Will and his mother are running a scam. Summer would sell houses that they had planted with drugs, causing the houses to be forfeited and then bought by a mysterious company named White Fish Assets, which is owned by Tom’s friends and colleagues Wally and Will.
The company then passed the houses to Will and he would sell them on again. This left Summer unable to collect her commission and she eventually figured out the scam. This is why Will killed her not because of the affair, but because she threatened to expose his scam. However, it seems Will has gotten away with it… for now.

Tom discovers all of this, including that the police are in on the scam including, most heartbreakingly, his dear friend Captain Robert Allen. Allen calls him and says he can explain, inviting him over the following morning, which Tom agrees to. Afterwards, Tom tells the police chief Marty Graeber what’s going on.
Marty seems flabbergasted, and Tom gives the chief the USB drive. The next day Tom arrives at Allen’s house to find the chief and other officers are involved in the scam too.
During this, Allen and the chief are shot and another cop Wally is nearly fatally injured. In the end scene, Will is shown golfing, thinking he got away with it only for the FBI to arrive in a golf cart to arrest him.
