Pakistan’s top-order batter has announced a shocking retirement at the age of 18.
It was initially reported on Thursday that Ayesha, who is yet to reach her peak of power, informed the Pakistan Cricket Board of her decision.
Ayesha said, “I am leaving cricket and want to live my life according to Islam.” Ayesha made her international debut in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup against Thailand at the age of just 15.

She had the ability to clear the boundary ropes with quite ease, something that every team needs to be successful. In the 2023 T20 World Cup, Ayesha Naseem took Indian Bowlers to the cleaners when she scored 43 runs from just 25 balls, forming an exceptional partnership with captain Bismah Maroof. The pair added 81 runs from just 7.1 overs for the fifth wicket partnership.
