Following the PS5’s spectacular introduction in 2020, Sony has drawn players from all across the world to their next-generation system. The company is currently releasing a second, completely new PlayStation 5 system that has a thinner design and several additional functionality.

Sony PS5 Slim Announced: Design & Features

The new PS5 has been reduced in volume by more than 30%, and weight by 18% and 24% compared to the previous models. There are four separate cover panels, with the top portion in a glossy look, while the bottom remains in matte.

The new PS5 from Sony is a slimmer version that has the same amount of power as the original model. Although Sony has not officially referred to it as the “PS5 Slim,” the majority of the gaming community has already done so because of its thinner design and previous naming conventions. Therefore, the previous design will be unofficially referred to as the original fat PS5. For the sake of distinguishing between models, we will continue to refer to the new model in this article as the PS5 Slim. The recently released Sony PS5 Slim has a whole new, slimmer look. The recommended retail prices for the new PS5 model are as follows beginning with the rollout in November at participating retailers.
