2022 was a fantastic year for Netflix, but we believe 2023 will be even better as this year will be filled with many new Netflix shows and the return of some popular series.
Here is a list of the Netflix shows that are on the lineup for 2023:
1) Sweet Tooth (season 2)
The highly-anticipated second season of Sweet Tooth is scheduled to land on Netflix on April 27.
Based on the DC comic of the same name, the story centers around a young boy named Gus, who’s half-human and half-deer.
Season 2 consists of another eight episodes that are about an hour each.
2) The Diplomat
Keri Russell is set to make her Netflix debut in an upcoming series titled The Diplomat.
The complete eight-episode first season will arrive on Netflix on April 20, 2023.
It is a political drama from the brilliant mind of Debora Cahn.
3) Fubar
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the acting world and makes his TV debut in an upcoming action-comedy series titled Fubar.
It is scheduled to be released on Netflix on May 25.
4) Emily in Paris (season 4)
After that shocking cliffhanger in the season 3 finale, everyone’s ready to see what happens in Emily in Paris season 4.
Netflix hasn’t announced the release date just yet, but Emily in Paris can stream on Netflix in December 2023.
5) Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is an upcoming historical drama limited series created by Shonda Rhimes for Netflix.
The series is a prequel spin-off of the Netflix series Bridgerton and will focus on young Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power.
The series will premiere on May 4, 2023, and consists of six episodes.
6) Firefly Lane (season 2)
Netflix’s Firefly Lane, an adaptation of the book of the same name by Kristin Hannah will release its season finale on Netflix.
The second and final season has been split into two parts, with part one which dropped on the streamer on December 2 and the final six episodes of Season 2 will debut on April 27.
7) The Witcher (season 3)
The Witcher season 3 will be released summer of 2023. However, an official release date was not disclosed. It can stream in June or July of 2023.
8) The Lincoln Lawyer (season 2)
Netflix renewed the legal drama for a second season a month after its release last year.
The first season was based on the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly and followed criminal-defense lawyer Mickey Haller as he runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln.
The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 will be based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer book series titled The Fifth Witness.
9) Bridgerton (season 3)
Bridgerton is one of the best Netflix original series. The first season premiered on Netflix on December 25, 2020, and was an instant hit. Then, the second season was released on March 25, 2022, and was an even bigger hit.
Bridgerton season 3 will focus on the love story between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. The series is set to premiere on May 4.
