ISLAMABAD: The National Transmission and Dispatch Company has prepared a preliminary report regarding the breakdown of electricity across the country.
The National Transmission and Dispatch Company submitted a preliminary investigation report to the Power Division. According to the report, frequency fluctuations and 500 kV transmission lines tripped, while due to tripping, the system of NTDC, K Electric got stuck and due to the system sitting, 11 thousand 356 MW electricity was out of the system.
The report said that before the breakdown, the system frequency was 50 MHz, which suddenly increased to 57 MHz while the sudden increase in frequency overloaded the system and unbalanced the voltage.
It was further informed that the main fault occurred in Gaddu transmission lines while 11 thousand 356 megawatts of electricity was lost from the system due to tripping.
Regarding the power restoration process, it was informed that the restoration process was started immediately from Tarbela, Mangala, and Warsak, however, there were several trippings in Tarbela, Mangala, and Warsak.
