At a time when the world is filled with sorrow and anger due to Israel’s brutal bombing in Gaza throughout the Islamic world, it has surfaced on social media that the Taliban government in Afghanistan has imposed a ban on its citizens traveling to Palestine for jihad.
Some media outlets and various social media sites are referencing a fake note in this context, claiming that the Taliban government has told its citizens to remove the idea of participating in the Palestinian war from their minds.
In viral fake notifications on social media, Afghan citizens who are eager to go to Palestine to support Hamas are warned not to do so, and it is said that no one is allowed to go to Palestine.
However, in response to this situation, the Taliban’s close media sources have clarified that the Taliban government has not issued any decree that prohibits citizens from traveling to Palestine.
The clarification states that a fake notification image has been circulated in which it is falsely claimed that the Islamic Emirate has explicitly banned Afghan citizens from going to Palestine for jihad and imposed restrictions on them.
The Taliban authorities emphasize that no such notification has been issued, and media organizations should not attribute any such misinformation to the Islamic Emirate.
