Pakistan’s most controversial TikToker Hareem Shah has been arrested in Turkey along with her husband.
The news was confirmed by many local news channels. The concern is why the controversial TikTok star was arrested?

This name has been making headlines in Pakistan for quite some time now. With over 2.1 million followers and millions of views on her videos, Hareem Shah is a popular social media personality in Pakistan and her original name is Fiza Hussain. She is known for her TikTok videos in the country and has a huge social media fan following.
She was born to Zarar Hussain Shah in 1991 and studied at a religious school in Pakistan. She completed her Masters in Philosophy in Competitive Religion from the University of Peshawar in Pakistan.
Controversial figure
Shah drew heavy backlash due to her presence at the Foreign Office of Pakistan and her unauthorised access to the place was called out. Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan even ordered an inquiry into her access to the government building. She was also condemned for her statement against Sheikh Rasheed, a politician and federal minister who currently serves as Interior Minister of Pakistan. Shah also confirmed a leaked video released by her friend, where she accuses the leader of lewd behaviour.
She again made headlines in 2021 after she slapped Mufti Qawi after a dirty and vulgar conversation. She also claimed that the latter harassed her and her cousin. After this incident, the title of ‘Mufti’ was withdrawn from the accused and he is now known as Abdul Qawi.
Mysterious wedding
Hareem Shah confirmed her wedding to a leader of the Pakistan People’s Party but kept his identity hidden since 2021. With over 4000 posts on Instagram, she has over 195k + followers on her social media profile.
Why was she arrested?
It has been reported that Shah and her husband were arrested at an airport after the Turkish police recovered a large amount of gold and money from them. As per the TikToker, she was going to Muscat from Turkey, however, the couple is now being investigated by Turkish authorities.
Prior legal troubles
This is not the first time the controversial TikToker has been arrested as earlier this year in January, she landed in a legal mess after her SnackVideo was released on the video platform in which she can be seen sitting down with stacks of British pounds. Flaunting the cash, Hareem said it was the first time she had carried a “heavy amount” of money from Pakistan to London which resulted in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) asking multiple banks to freeze Hareem Shah’s accounts.
