LAHORE: The court has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-N leaders Hamza and Shahbaz Sharif till November 20.
PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz appeared in the Lahore Banking Court on Saturday in a money laundering case, the court extended the interim bail of the PML-N leaders.
Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif termed the money-laundering allegations as baseless and told the court that it has been a year now that the National Accountability Bureau has failed to prove even a single penny of corruption against us.

He further added that, the Daily Mail’s lawyer had admitted that there was not enough evidence during the proceedings in the British court. While responding to that, the NAB prosecutor said that the London decision had nothing to do with the case.
Meanwhile, the PML-N president also submitted a letter of appreciation from the Chinese ambassador to the court, which was objected to by the NAB prosecutor.
Earlier, on November 11, 2020, the accountability court had indicted Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz Sharif in a money laundering reference. All the accused in the case had pleaded not guilty, while Shahbaz Sharif denied the NAB’s allegations, saying they were being politically targeted.
