Whether you are looking for a Halloween classic, family Halloween movie, or true horror, Netflix always prepares a slate of movies, and a series of Halloween-themed coming in October 2022.
As Netflix has a bag full of Halloween-themed shows and movies coming next month, let’s see what’s coming to the online streaming platform:
1) The Watcher (October 13)
The Watcher is inspired by the infamous story of a couple who bought a 1905 Dutch colonial revival in New Jersey for nearly $1.4 million. They were forced to abandon their new home over chilling letters from a mysterious stranger who claimed to have been “watching” the house for decades.
2) Mr. Harrigan’s Phone (October 5)
The movie is based on the novella of the same name written by Stephen King in 2020. Written and directed by John Lee Hancock, the suspenseful horror film is a story of Craig a young boy from a small town who becomes friends with an older, reclusive billionaire, they both later become very close to each other.
Mr. Harrigan once gifts him a cellphone and teaches him how to use it. When Mr. Harrigan dies, Craig puts his iPhone in his pocket before he’s buried. But one day, Craig sends a message to the smartphone and discovers that his old friend is able to communicate with him from the grave.
3) The Midnight Club (October 7)
New horror series “The Midnight Club” is based on novel which follows a story of a group of terminally ill patients in Rotterdam Home who gather at midnight to share scary stories. The group makes a pact to contact the others from beyond the grave should one of them perish.
4) The Curse of Bridge Hollow (October 14)
The film follows a father (Marlon Wayans) and daughter (Priah Ferguson) trying to stop the curse that’s brought scary Halloween decorations to life in their new town.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow could easily provide some good horror fun, and a recent trailer shows it as a great family film for this Halloween season.
5) Wendell & Wild (October 28)

Wendell & Wild follows the titular pair of demon brothers (voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele) as they try to get to the world of the living with the help of Kat (voiced by Lyric Ross).
Selick delivering a new animated horror story is always a treat, and the fact that it’s also housing a Key & Peele reunion makes it even better. Plus, that recent trailer looks rad, and rave reviews are coming from its Toronto International Film Festival premiere: it could be one of Netflix’s best films this fall.
6) Wednesday (November 27)
For the 2022 spinoff show, Wednesday on Netflix delves into the titular figure’s days as a student at the Nevermore Academy in the small town of Jericho where she has both friends and enemies.
7) The School For Good And Evil (October 21)
The School for Good and Evil is an upcoming fantasy film directed by Paul Feig. Based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Soman Chainani, the screenplay is written by David Magee and Feig.
