ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that the government is working hard to bring back former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Shibli Faraz said that Nawaz Sharif would be in Kot Lakhpat or any other jail by 15 January 2021. The PML-N is in a tug of war and will soon split, he claimed. He said that Prime minister Imran Khan was determined to hold the “corrupt gang” accountable.
“Respect the vote. We will get back from Nawaz Sharif the money he looted from the poor,” Faraz added. He further added that the PML-N leaders and their former ministers are all summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
He said that the opposition meetings did not go as expected, so good tactics were used. The federal minister said that the opposition was talking about leaving the government in January but did not say the year.

Regarding the arrest of Captain (retd) Safdar in Sindh, the minister said that everyone has seen the footage of the incident. Safdar Awan went to the car with great satisfaction and he seemed calm in the custody of police.
The federal minister also spoke about the CCTV footage of Safdar’s arrest from a Karachi hotel, saying that the broken door was not seen as claimed by the PML-N.“As per the footage, Captain Safdar seemed comfortable in police custody,” said Faraz. “Their lies have now been exposed.”
The minister maintained that whatever happened in Sindh the PPP government was responsible not the federal authorities. “We did not arrest Captain Safdar, Sindh Police arrested him,” said Faraz.
Safdar Awan was given protocol by the police and there was no anger on his face. There was also a contradiction in today’s statements of Maryam Nawaz.
