LAHORE: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has asserted that the PTI-led federal government was enhancing health facilities for the coronavirus patients in the country as well as in Punjab.
The statement came while talking to journalists during his visit to the vaccination centre at Lahore Expo Centre today (Sunday). The special assistant expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by the health department for citizens.
Faisal Sultan also lauded the performance of Punjab government for facilitating the senior citizens at vaccination centres across the province. “The Punjab government was utilizing all out its resources for the treatment of COVID-19 patients,” he added.
“As per the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the vaccination process was effectively continued in well organized manners across the country,” the special assistant claimed.
Faisal Sultan also reviewed the arrangements made by the government at the centre and met senior citizens present there for vaccination. The third wave of coronavirus continues to wreak havoc as Pakistan recorded over 5,000 new coronavirus cases in the past day.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Pakistan recorded 5,020 new coronavirus cases across the country while 81people succumbed to the deadly disease. The total number of cases recorded so far reached 687,908 cases while the death toll has reached 14,778.
