MIANWALI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan will become a powerful country in the world.
Addressing a function in Mianwali, the prime minister said that the principle of the state of Madinah was that all were equal before the law. “I am well aware of the problems of Mianwali while water is the biggest problem in our area. The government has focused on solving the basic problems of the people,” he said.
“When no one was with me, the people of Mianwali were with me,” he said by adding, “When people were saying how I will do politics, the people of Mianwali stood by me and the PTI was given the first seat from here.”
The prime minister said that he had talked with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar about the provision of facilities in Isa Khel. There were no girls’ schools here and nurses were not available in the district, he added.
PM Imran Khan said that weak poor people are in jails and thieves are in London. “In Western countries, the rule of law prevails and that is why they are prosperous,” he added.
The prime minister said that the system of disbelief can work but not of oppression and injustice. Earlier on his arrival in Mianwali, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar received PM Imran Khan.
Talking about PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister said that those who got their medical checkups in London cannot understand the difficulties faced by the people living in poor areas like Mianwali.
“How will those people whose children live in London and they get their medical checkups there will understand the problems of people living in Mianwali,” he added.
Indirectly referring to PML-N’s focus on Lahore and a few other cities, the prime minister said that the countries don’t prosper if all the money is spent on one or two cities.
