MULTAN: Naib Ameer of Aalmi Majlis-e-Tahafuz Khatam-e-Nabowat, Maulana Aziz Ahmed alias Lalaji has claimed that Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Reza Baqir was a Qadiani and he is a believer of Lahore branch of the group.
Addressing a press conference in Multan on October 6, Maulana Aziz questioned why Baqir was made SBP governor, when he is a Qadiani, which were declared as non-Muslims in the constitution of Pakistan.
He demanded of the PTI government to immediately remove Baqir from the top post of the country’s central bank, else, the majlis will announce its future course of action in the upcoming Multan.
On the other hand, a new discussion has been unleashed in the country after the revelation made by Maulana Aziz. Netizens are questioning that raising allegations over anyone is an easy job, but one has to provide proofs to support the severe allegations raised against the SBP governor.
Meanwhile, many others said that Reza Baqir should say in front of the people that “Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W) is the last prophet.”
Moreover, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council and SAPM to PM, Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said a few days earlier, he himself questioned Reza Baqir about his religious belief at the PM House, who categorically rejected the allegations and replied he is a Muslim and has faith that Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W) is the last prophet.
