Lahore: The summary for the dissolution of the Punjab assembly has been received at the Governor’s House.
Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman in a Tweet has confirmed that he has received the summary sent to him by Chief Minister Pervez Elahi to dissolve the provincial assembly.

Earlier on Thursday evening, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi signed a summary advising the governor to dissolve the provincial assembly.
After that, Former information minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry announced that they had forwarded advice to Governor Baligh ur Rehman to dissolve Punjab Assembly.
Talking to journalists alongside Ijaz Chaudhry in Lahore, the former information minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly will be dissolved after dissolution of Punjab Assembly.
“We have sent advice to Governor Baligh ur Rehman to dissolve Punjab Assembly,” Fawad Chaudhry said, adding that the order will be enforced within two days for the dissolution of assembly if Governor refuses to sign the summary.
Her said PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said on Thursday that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi had signed the summary for dissolving the provincial assembly.
