Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori has unveiled plans to establish IT universities in six districts across the province.
Tessori, speaking at the ninth Iftar dinner held at the Governor House, underscored the growing significance of IT education, highlighting that IT professionals in Pakistan currently earn between Rs. 800,000 and Rs. 1 million per month.
“There are no age or educational restrictions for IT courses. Everyone is encouraged to enroll, and these courses will be offered free of charge,” the governor assured attendees.
Governor Tessori emphasized that the Governor House, once operating on a need-based approach, now functions with a focus on public service.
He reaffirmed his dedication to tackling Karachi’s pressing issues, including electricity shortages, gas supply, access to clean drinking water, and infrastructure development.

Acknowledging claims by some officials that these challenges fall outside the governor’s jurisdiction, Tessori highlighted his proactive efforts. He has launched free IT courses, distributed ration bags, and provided motorcycles, all without relying on government funding.
Moreover, the governor announced a new initiative to award cash prizes, residential plots, and Umrah tickets as part of his commitment to public welfare.
