The price of 24 karat per tola gold witnessed a decrease of Rs.1,400 on Saturday and was sold at Rs.347,200 against its sale at Rs.348,600 on the previous trading day, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association reported.
The prices of 10 grams of 24 karat also decreased by Rs.1,200 to Rs.297,668 from Rs.298,868, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 Karat came down by Rs.1,100 to Rs.272,872 from Rs.273,972.
The rates of per tola silver depreciated by Rs. 24 to Rs. 3,456 from Rs. 3,480, and the ten-gram rate dipped by Rs. 21 to Rs. 2,962 from Rs. 2,983.
The price of gold in the international market decreased by $14 to $3,288 from $3,302, whereas that of silver also decreased by $.0.24 to $32.98, the Association reported.
