Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Friday, mirroring a downward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs5,000, settling at Rs351,000 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs4,287, closing at Rs300,925.
This decline follows Thursday’s gains, when the per tola price of gold had risen by Rs1,335 to reach Rs356,000.
Internationally, gold prices also recorded a decrease. The global rate fell by $53, bringing the price to $3,290 per ounce, including a premium of $20, as reported by APGJSA.
In addition, silver prices saw a decline, with the per tola rate decreasing by Rs68 to Rs3,782.
