Gold prices in Pakistan surged to unprecedented levels on Friday, with the price of one tola reaching an all-time high of Rs338,800—marking a sharp increase of Rs10,000 in just a single day.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold climbed to Rs290,446, reflecting an uptick of Rs8,573, according to the figures provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Thursday, the price of one tola of gold stood at Rs328,800 after experiencing a daily rise of Rs7,800.
Internationally, gold prices also saw a notable jump on Friday. The global rate for gold hit $3,218 per ounce (including a $20 premium), representing a $100 increase within the day, as per APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices remained steady at Rs3,234 per tola.
